평생학습사회에 걸맞게 사이버대학은 양적인 성장을 해오고 있으며, 그에 따른 질적 성장이 요구되어 왔다. 이런 맥락에서 사이버대학의 질 관리 및 학습자들의 수업만족도 제고를 위하여 새로운 수업평가도구를 개발하고자 하였다. 기존의 수업평가도구가 교수자 및 교과목을 평가하는 것에 초점을 두고 있다면 본 연구에서 개발한 도구는 학생, 교수자, 그리고 수업조교 각자의 입장에서 수업 활동에 대하여 자기성찰적 평가를 할 수 있도록 개발하였으며, 본 평가도구를 통해 수업에 대한 질과 만족도를 향상의 기틀을 마련하고자 한 것이다. 이러한 자기평가의 목적을 띈 수업 평가도구를 개발하기 위하여 관련 선행연구, FGI, 델파이 조사 등의 방법을 사용하였으며, 그 결과 개발된 평가도구는 교수자, 학생, 수업조교의 3그룹이 시기적으로 학기 초, 학기 중, 학기 말 3회에 걸쳐 자기평가를 실시하는 수업평가도구가 개발되었다. 이러한 평가도구의 활용이 궁극적으로는 사이버대학의 특성을 반영하는 평가도구이며, 나아가 사이버대학 수업 질 관리 및 학생들의 수업에 대한 만족도를 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있는 방향으로 이어지기를 기대한다.
While life-long learning Society has boosted quantitative growth of cyber university, recent social needs require its substantial development, which, in specific, indicate quality management of and learners’ increased satisfaction with their cyber classes confirmed through course evaluation results. In other words, course evaluation systems should be reexamined to clarify its primary goal and objectives directly related to quality assurance of cyber classes in cyber university. In this context, this study aimed to develop an self reflection-based course evaluation tools, reflecting distinctive characteristics of the cyber university. As for research methods, literature review was conducted to develop the first draft of evaluation tools, which was then followed by two -time Delphi surveys, and its results generated the final version of course evaluation tools. As a result, self reflection-based course evaluation tools for cyber university has three characteristics :1) to conduct course evaluation three times during a semester-before, during, and after a course 2) to cover three groups of evaluator as participants of the course evaluation - instructor, student, and TA, 3) to purpose self-evaluation rather than to be evaluated by others.
