현지 거점센터 예비반 출신의 중국인 유학생과 일반 중국인 유학생의 한국어 능력, 유학 후 계획, 대학 선택 동기, 교육서비스 만족도에 대한 비교 연구

A Study on the Comparison of the Korean Language Ability, Future Plan, Selection Factor of the University, Satisfaction of Education Service between the Foreign Students from International Base Center and General Foreign Students

최근 들어 국내에 아시아 국가들로부터 온 외국인 유학생의 수가 점진적으로 증가하고 있다. 특히 중국 유학생이 전체 유학생 수의 76% 이상을 차지할 정도로 월등히 많다. 이렇듯 중국을 포함한 여러 국가로부터 외국인 유학생들을 유치하기 위해서 한국 내 대학들은 각종 다양한 국제화 전략을 수립하여 실행하고 있다. 그런데 중요한 것은 유학생 수의 양적 성장과 함께 각 대학은 유학생들이 성공적으로 대학 생활에 적응할 수 있는 차별화된 전략이 필요하다는 것이다. 이에 국내 A대학에서 해외 현지 거점센터를 설립하여 유학생 예비반을 운영하여 배출한 유학생과 일반적인 유학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 예비유학생이 한국어 능력 등이 포함된 대학생활 적응 인식에서 일반 유학생과 어떤 차이가 있는지 살펴보았다. 연구의 결과, 예비유학생은 한국어 능력과 일반 유학생 및 일반 어학연수원생과는 유의미한 차이가 있었고 일반 유학생과는 차이가 없었다. 대학 선택과 취업, 그리고 교육서비스 만족도에서 일반 유학생과 예비유학생과는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 이 연구는 거점센터 출신의 예비유학생 수가 충분치 않다는 제한점을 갖고 있으나 향후 무한경쟁의 글로벌 시대에 유학생 유치 및 관리 전략에 어느 정도 중요한 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

Recently the number of the foreign students is growing up increasingly in Korea. Especially the Chinese students are most, so the portion is 76% more among the whole foreign students in Korea. The many universities in Korea are making and performing the various global strategies. They should help the foreign students to adapt the campus life successfully. So, they need to develop the discriminated strategy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect to the foreign students' campus life adaptation through the management of international base center, based on the case of Chinese students' in A university. For this purpose the survey was performed in Chinese students. The results are as bellows. First, pre-admission foreign students' Korean language abilities are very distinctively higher than general Korean language course students, but are the same level as the general foreign students. In the sub-questionnaires of the campus life adaptation, the factor of selection of university, and satisfaction of education there are not meaningful differences between pre-admission foreign students and general foreign students. This study is expected to give an important strategy in adapting and managing foreign students in borderless global competition generation.
