본 연구는 사이버대학에서의 재등록률에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하며, 이들 요 인의 분석을 통해 학습자가 학업을 지속할 수 있는 대학 차원의 효과적인 전략을 탐색하고자 하였 다. 선행연구의 검토를 통해 사이버대학 재등록률에 영향을 줄 수 있는 요인으로 41개가 도출되었으 며, 단일변량 분석을 통해 유의한 22개 요인을 포함하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결 과, 사이버대학 재등록률에 영향을 주는 요인은 학업에 집중할 수 있는 시간 확보, 경제적 부담, IT 활용 능력, 상호작용 횟수, 성적, 수업 만족도, 자신의 학습 성과에 대한 긍정적 인식의 7가지 요인 이 분석되었다. 분석 결과의 일부는 기존의 선행연구와 일치하지 않은 경우도 있었는데, 이에 대한 논의를 통해 향후 사이버대학에서 학업 지속을 위한 효과적인 학습자 지원 체제의 필요성이 제기되 었다.
This study aimed to analyze factors affecting the retention rate in cyber university and to investigate effective strategies of cyber university for lasting student’s study by analyzing these factors. 41 candidate factors that could be affected the retention rate were selected from relevant preceding researches and logistic-regression analysis was conducted with significant 22 factors after the analysis of univariant analysis to all 41 factors. As a result, 7 factors affecting the retention rate in cyber university were analyzed as followings; times to concentrate on the student’s study, financial problems, IT skills, number of interactions, grade, satisfaction, positive awareness on the learning performance. Some results were different with ones of relevant preceding researches, thus the necessity of effective learner support systems was presented for retaining the student’s study in cyber university by considering implications.
