아동기에는 신체발달이나 감각운동보다는 이미 획득된 지각, 운동기능을 보다 기술적으로 사용하는 능력을 키우며, 인지적 측면에서도 지각의 존성과 자기 중심성을 극복하며 언어발달에 있어서도 어휘 및 구문이해가 매우 성숙되며, 문장구조나 문법의 활용면에서는 성인기의 수준에 도달해 있다고 말할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 아동의 활동범위도 상당히 넓어져서 가정에서 학교와 이웃에까지 확대되며, 사회적 환경의 범위도 역시 확대된다. 즉, 아동은 가족 뿐만 아니라 친구, 책, 그리고 TV 등의 매스컴의 영향을 받게되므로, 아동의 교육장은 이미 가정의 범위를 넘어선다. 그래서 이 시기에는 성격발달에 있어서도 주요한 국면을 맞이하게 되는데 그 하나가 학교생활이다.
This study attempt to improve that children perform daily life autonomously and expressed oneself by art theraphy program. There were 14 session and each session lasted approximately an hour. The child is male 9-years old and has one younger brother. The result of this study were as follow : First. the child\' s behaviors were improved to clear and arrange thing he used. Second. he is able to express his own idea and his need in home. Third. it was disappeard habit that he bited nail when he felt anxity. Consequently. it is found that the art therapy program is effective in this subject.
