회화요법은 궁극적으로는 정신질환을 치료하기 위한 목적이기는 하나 환자가 그린 그림의 특징을 연구하고 그것이 갖는 역동학적, 정신병리학적 의미를 분석하는 과정에서 때때로 증상이 나타나기 전에 환자의 그림에 갈등 양상, 혹은 병적 양태가 먼저 표현되는 일도 있고, 또 치료 경과에 따라서 회화적 표현도 질서와 통정을 찾아가는 과정을 볼 수 있으므로 진단적 의의가 았다고 하였다(McGlashan, 1977). 이에 저자는 정신 분열증 환자의 회화요법 및 회화상 특정에 질적 평가를 위한 임상적 해석의 실제적인 방법 등에 대해서 기술하고자 한다.
This article reviewed the major characteristics of drawings with the schizophrenic patients and their psychological meanings in art therapy The evaluation criteria used by many clinicians were focused on pathology in drawings. In general. there were four components in the analysis of the drawings’ composition, form, content, and color. More specifically, the major criteria for analysis include the following. (1) Composition was analyzed by completion. space filling, horizontal line, spatial perspective, color variety and script. (2) Form was analyzed by line, touch, detailed expression, movement, symmetry. and stereotype. (3) Content was also analyzed by drawing subjects. Finally. (4) Color was analyzed by blending, complementary color, primary and secondary color, saturation and white color.
