따른 학대와는 달리, 아동에 대한 성학대는 피해자인 아동이 그 학대를 드러내려 하지 않을 경우 감추어져 있는 경우가 많다. 예전에는 피해 아동이 아주 종종 침묵을 지켜왔는데, 그것은 가해자로부터의 보복이 두렵거나 자기자신이 창피하거나 학대에 대해 자기자신을 비난하거나, 그리고 종종 자기자신이 학대받았다는 사실이 믿어지지 않게 느끼기 때문이다. 성학대는 “성적만족을 위해 더 앞선 발달단계에 있는 사람과 다른 발달단계의 사람 사이에 발생하는 어떤 행위”로 정의되어 오고 있다. 이러한 정의는 가해자와 피해아동 양자 모두가 다른 발달단계에 있는 상황을 포함하고 있다. 또한 아동에 대한 성학대는 다양한 유형의 성적 행동들을 포함하고 있다.
The purpose of this case study is to explore the therapeutic effect of art Therapy in child-centered approach with a sexually abus앙d child. The child is a female and 4 years old. She had high anxiety level and especially was afraid of windows and doors. She expressed her emotion through art therapy process. It is presented her HTP. Figure 22, 23 and 24 showed the HTP before art therapy and Figure 25, 26, 27 and 28 presented the HTP end of art Therapy. The result of the HTP Test, her emotion toward her house and person especially woman were changed. In addition, As the results of this case study, art expression can be a primary means of communicating and accessing painful affective material related to molestation.
