주의력 결핍 과잉행동(Attention Deficit-Hyperactîvity Disorder : ADHD)은 학령기에서 흔히 보여지는 것으로서 다양한 이론들이 연구되어 왔으나 교육분야에서는 비교적 최근에 관심을 지닌 영영이다. 주의력 결핍 아동들은 부주의와 충동성이 있으면서 과잉행동을 수반하지 않기도 하고, 과잉행동을 수반한 아동의 경우도 부수적으로 정서불안정, 사회적 위축, 자존심의 결여 등이 수반된다고 한다. 특히, 인지적 측면에서는 주의집중시간이 짧고, 과제에 주의를 기울이지 못하고, 쉽게 다른 활동으로 바꾸는 경향을 보인다고 한다. 또한 행동적 측면에서는 주로 과잉행동과 충동성을 보이는데 이를테면 불침착성, 가만히 앉아있지 못함, 항상 움직이는 태도, 인간관계의 상호작용 부적절 등의 특성을 보인다. 대체로 연구자들은 이 두 가지 측면이 복합적인 증상으로 나타난다고 보고 있다. 이러한 특성들 때문에 또래들에게 배척당하거나 우울증, 낮은 자존감을 갖게 되고, 부모나 교사들과의 관계도 어려워진다. 동시에 학습이나 행동문제를 나타내거나 반사회적 문제를 일으키기도 한다.
This study is the purpose of clarifying the effed of peer-cooperative art activities that affects an problem behavior and social bchavior of ADHD children. The purpose of this study are, first to clarify the effect of peer-cooperative art activities on problem behavior of ADHD Children, second to clarify the effect of peer-cooperative art activities on social behavior of ADHD children. The subject of this case study is one school-age child diagnosed ADHD. He participated with three other normal peer children. In this The results indicated that the peer-cooperative art activitics was effcctive in decreasing the problem behavior of ADHD children. The peer-cooperative art actlvities also was effective in increasing the social behavior of ADHD children.
