미술치료가 우울증 청소년의 우울과 학교생활 적응 및 태도에 미치는효과

청소년기는 성인으로 완성되는 과도기로서 아동과 비슷한 면도 있고, 또 성인다운 점도 있는데 사회는 그들을 아동으로도 성인으로도 받아들여지 않아 부적응 상태에 빠지게 된다. 즉 아동기 사회로부터 성인사회로 적응하는 과정에서 일어나는 생리적,신체적, 정신적 변화의 양상이 그들의 적응곤란을 일으커는 원인이라 할 수 있다. 그러므로 청소년기는 인생의 단계 중 가장 어려운 단계로 옴은 성인이지만 정신은 아직 어린아이와 같아서 사소한 일에도 충격과 스트레스를 많이 받는 시기라 할 수 있으며, 부모로부터의 독립, 이성에 대한 태도 형성, 신체발육의 완성, 책임있는 사회인으로서의 인생판 형성, 장래의 생활 계획의 확립 등의 기본적 문제로부터 파생되는 것들이 청소년들을 신경증으로 이끄는 원인이 되기도 한다.

The purpose of this study was to ascertain the effects of Art Therapy on a depressed adolescent\' s depression and school life. Art Therapy helps depressed adolescents to cope with emotional and social problems by themselves which they face in their home and school Art Therapy enables depressed adolescents to adjust their conflict. to express their suppressed desires actively, and eliminate their improper action. Investigation and research focused on the following: 1. What effects does Art Therapy have on a depressed adolescent\' s depression? 2. What effects does Art Therapy have on a depressed adolescent\' s school attitude and school adjustment? A seventeen year old girl who was diagnosed as suffering from depression was selected as the subject for this study. The art therapy program devised for this research was carried out once a week with a total of 17 trials (60 minutes per triaI). The activities of the subject in each session were observed and analyzed Kinetic School Drawing. School Attitude Measure and The Flynn School Adjustment Scale were employed as tools of measument before and after the art therapy sessions and the results of the measuments were compared and analyzed. The acquired results of this reseach indicate the following: 1. Art Therapy 10 wers a depressed ado1escent\' s level of depression. 2. Art Therapy improves a depressed ado1escent\' s school attitudes and adaptability to school life. Through a series of Art Therapy sessions. the subject of this study was able to express her deep emotions. obtaining the effect of catharsis. She has also begun to think positively through introspection. producing less problematic, symptoms. Thus this study contributes to affirm that Art Therapy brings beneficial effects on depressed adolescents\' depression and adjustment to school life.
