\'본 연구는 집단미술활동이 유아의 사회적 기술의 증진에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 집단미술활동 경험이 유아의 사회적 기술을 향상시키는가와 집단미술활동이 진행되는 과정 중, 유아들은 회기별로 어떤 사회적 기술의 변화 과정이 있는가와 같은 두 가지 연구문제를 설정하였다. 이상의 연구문제에 기초하여 처치 후의 결과를 선행연구와 관련하여 논의하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실험집단의 유아들은 처치 후 사후점수에서 사회적 기술의 득점이 모두 향상되었으나, 통제집단은 사회적 기술의 득점이 향상되지 않았다. 그러므로 집단미술활동 경험이 유아의 사회적 기술의 증진에 유의한 효과가 있고, 하위영역별로도 주장성과 자기통제의 향상에 유의한 영향을 미친다고 할 수 있다. 둘째, 회기별로도 유아들의 사회적 기술이 증진됨을 나타내는 변화과정이 관찰되었다. 회기가 진행될수록 실험집단 유아들은 또래간의 협력적인 상호작용이 점차로 증가하였으며, 미술공동작업을 통해 친밀감을 표현하였다.\'
This study examined the effect of small group art activity on .young children's social skills. Art vmrks consisted of activity that young children actually practiced social skills during drawing, building ela,Y structure and so on. The effectiveness of the treatment \vas studied in a single subject design, comparing treatment children 'yith their matcheel counterparts. Data \VCfL' collected by means of a digital cameoder and analyy.cct b~' l\Tann-vVhitney l>test, v\~ilcoxon test and qualitative method. Hesults indicated to increased social skills of all six treatment children, compared \vith no change in the control children by teacher report. In addition, results based on analysis of qualitative data shmved improved cooperation, self-control and assertion in group for all participants. Based on ahove findings, the suggestions \vere as follmvs; First, small group art activity should be acwall.y penormed for development of children's social skills in the school setting. Second, replication of this stud~y V-lith various age level of subjects should be pursued.
