본 연구는 집단미술 치료가 주간보호시설 노인의 대인관계에 효과가 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 M시에 소재한 M종합사회복지관의 주간 보호시설에서 보호를 받고 있는 노인들 중에서 미술 치료와 기본적인 의사소통이 가능하나 인간관계가 활발하지 않은 70세 이상의 노인 7명으로 하였다. 연구기간은 2005년 3윌 24일부터 2005년 7윌 28일까지 매주 1회 60분씩 실시하여 총 14회기를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 측정도구는 대인민감성 측정도구(IPSM)와 진단그림검사인 물고기 집단화를 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 대인민감성 측정에서 집단미술치료 실시 후에 대인민감성의 평균이 집단미술치료를 실시전의 평균보다 현저하게 감소하여 시설 노인의 대인관계가 긍정적으로 변화됨이 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 집단미술치료 프로그램은 시설노인의 대인관계에 질적 변화를 나타내었다. 자신의 의견을 자신감 있게 표현하고 타인을 적극적으로 칭찬을 하게 되었다. 작품 활동을 통하여 집단원간의 공동체의 기능과 역할관계가 향상되는 질적 변화가 있었다. 셋째, 집단미술 치료가 시설 노인의 대인관계의 개선에 효과적으로 작용하였다. 시설안의 대인관계에 대한 진단용 그림으로서 ‘물고기 집단화’의 긍적적인 변화가 있었다.
The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of group art therapy on the elderly\' s human relationship in the aged day care center located at Masan city in Kyungnam Province. For the objective, this researcher surveyed and group deep interviewed 7 elderlies aged over 70 years old. Especially the target of study was the aged who could basic communication but was low interaction among their friend group in day care center. The period of research was from 24th May to 28th July on 2005, and one research time was 60 minutes weekly. Total research time was 14. The measurement device used was a “Interpersonal Sensitivity Measure (IPSM)\' and Fish Grouping Art Diagnosis Test The results of this study were described as follows. First, the elderly\'s human relationship in the aged day care center was changed positively. That is, after the group art therapy programs were performed, the mean value of Interpersonal Sensitivity Measure the aged was lower. Sεcond, the group art therapy programs made the elderly\' s human relationship changed qualitatively. They spoke their opinion with confidence, praised their friends. There was qualitative change in the function and role relationship of the group community members by making art performance. Third, it was found that the group art therapy programs on the elderly\' s human relationship in the aged day care center were effective， through measurement of IPSM. The ‘fish grouping\' as a diagnosis art on the elderly\' s human relationship in the aged day care center was changed positively.
