동그라미 중심 부모-자녀 그림(PSCD)에 나타난 아동의 우울과 상징에 관한 연구 : 초등학교 5학년을 중심으로

A Study Case on Children’s Responses reflecting on their depression and symbolism to Parent-Self-Centered-Drawing(PSCD) - Sampling from 5th grade elementary school students -

본 연구는 동그라미 중심 부모-자녀 그림이 부모-자녀 관계 속에서 아동의 우울정도를 측정하는 도구로서의 활용가능성을 탐색하고, 우울한 아동의 인물상에서 보여지는 상징의 특징을 파악하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 연구대상은 서울시 초등학교 3개교 5학년 270명(남 145명, 여 125명)이었으며, 동그라미 중심 부모-자녀 그림(PSCD)과 아동우울검사(CDI)를 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 일원변량분석으로 사후검정은 Scheffé-test를 하여 통계적 자료처리를 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, PSCD 아버지상의 반응특성에 따른 우울정도는 남․여학생 모두 얼굴표정, 부정 상징, 필압 세기에 따라 차이를 보였고, 그 외 남학생은 긍정 상징, 여학생은 신체 생략, 인물 크기에서도 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, PSCD 어머니상의 반응특성에 따른 우울 정도를 보면 부정 상징, 필압 세기에서 남․여학생 모두 차이가 있었고, 그 외 남학생은 신체 생략, 여학생은 얼굴 표정에서도 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, PSCD 자기상 반응특성에 따른 우울 정도에서는 부정 상징에서만 남․여학생 모두 차이를 보였고, 남학생은 얼굴 표정에서 여학생은 신체 생략과 필압 세기에서 우울 정도의 차이가 나타났다. 넷째, 우울한 아동(실험집단)의 PSCD 아버지상, 어머니상, 자기상의 상징은 대부분 폭력적이거나 부정적인 표현들이 많이 나타난 반면, 우울하지 않은 아동(비교집단)의 PSCD 상징들은 긍정적인 상호교류의 표현들이 나타났다.

The purpose of this study case is to develop if Parent-Self-Centered-Drawing (PSCD) could be a good measurement of children’s depression. The main focus of the study is to evaluate any shown symbolic characteristics in depressed children. The study case was experimented using Parent-Self-Centered-Drawing (PSCD) and Children’s depression inventory (CDI) among 270 5th graders (145 males, 125 females) in 3 elementary schools in Seoul. Those data was analyzed with one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's post-hoc test. The results of this study are as followings: First, in the father-child attachment in PSCD, level of depression has shown in both genders as facial expression, negative symbols, and depth of pencil shading. There were few differences shown such as positive symbols in males and omission of a particular body part, and sizes in females. Secondly, in the mother-child attachment in PSCD, level of depression has shown in both genders as negative symbols, and depth of pencil shading. Besides that, there were also few differences shown such as omission of a particular body part in males and facial expression in females as well. Thirdly, they also had shown different responses depending on negative symbol in PSCD. On another note, facial expression had affected males’ responses as well as omission of a particular body part and depth of pencil shading in females’. Lastly, depressed children (case group) categorized their fathers, mothers, and themselves as violent and negative as opposed to un-depressed children (control group) expressed being positive, and interactive with others.
