본 연구는 Van Manen의 해석학적 현상학 연구방법을 적용하여 결혼이주여성들을 대상으로 집단미술치료 체험을 통하여 그들의 경험을 이해하고, 그 체험의 의미와 본질이 무엇인지를 이해하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구참여자는 연구자의 질문(한국어)을 듣고 이해할 수 있으며 한국어 표현이 가능한 결혼이주여성 총 6명을 선정하였고 집단미술치료는 2009년 10월 둘째 주 부터 11월 셋째 주 까지 7주 동안 14회기를 경험하였다. 면담내용은 참여자의 동의하에 녹음하였고 반성적 사고를 통해 세분법에 따라 본질적 주제를 이끌어 내었으며, 체험의 본질에 집중, 실존적 조사, 해석학적 현상학적 반성 및 글쓰기를 하였다. 또한 어원과 문학 및 현상학적 문헌을 참조하여 결혼이주여성의 집단미술치료의 체험에 관한 통찰력과 이해를 높이고자 하였다. 연구 참여자들의 진술을 분석한 결과 <치유로서의 만남>, <치유로서의 탐색>, <치유로서의 창조>, <치유로서의 성찰>의 대 주제 밑에 각각의 하위주제들로 본질적 주제를 범주화 하였다. 이를 통해 결혼이주여성은 심리적으로 안정되었으며 자신의 생각과 감정을 솔직하게 표현할 수 있었다. 그리고 결혼이주여성은 자신의 솔직한 모습을 볼 수 있었고, 주체적이고 독립적인 삶을 살 수 있도록 긍정적인 힘을 얻을 수 있었다.
The current study aims to understand experience of immigrant women who are married to Korean men through group art therapy and understand the meaning and essence of the experience by applying Van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological approach. As participants of the study, 6 immigrant women living in S City, Gyeonggi-do, who can understand the researcher's questions (Korean) and express their opinions were selected. And group art therapy was conducted 14 times for 7 weeks from the second week of October, 2009 to the third week of November. Interviews were recorded with the participants' consent and essential themes were drawn through reflective thinking. Also the essence of their experience was focused, while existential research, hermeneutic phenomenological approach and writing were conducted. In addition, the study tried to improve insight and understanding of experience of group art therapy with the immigrant women who are married to Korean men by referring to the origin of a word, literature and phenomenological literature. The study examined what immigrant women experienced from group art therapy, and the essence of their experience. And the following are study results. It was found that the immigrant women who are married to Korean men came to relax internal tension, had a sense of psychological security, and were able to express their ideas and emotions frankly through the group art therapy. In addition, they could not only change their hurt and exhausted images through creation, but also discover their own image with hope and desire. Further, the participants reflected and penetrated themselves and their lives by accepting aspects they couldn't realize or have denied.
