본 연구는 집단미술치료 프로그램이 조현병 환자의 자아존중감에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 목적을 두고 실 시되었다. 연구대상은 D 병원에 입원 중인 조현병 환자 6명이다. 집단미술치료 프로그램은 긴장이완 및 자기소 개, 자기탐색 및 자아존중감 향상, 상호작용 촉진 및 활동마무리 단계로 구성하였으며 주 1회, 한 회기 90분씩, 총 8회기를 실시하였다. 집단미술치료 프로그램이 조현병 환자의 자아존중감에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 프로그램 실시 전과 후에 자기보고식 자아존중감 검사와 풍경구성기법 반응특성을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집단미술치료 프로그램은 조현병 환자의 자아존중감을 향상시켰고, 하위요인에서 자기비 하 요인과 자기주장과 불안요인을 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상시켰다. 둘째, 집단미술치료 프로그램은 자아존중 감과 관련된 풍경구성기법 반응특성에서 긍정적인 특성을 보였고, 하위요인으로 강과 길의 유무, 통합성, 공간 감 표현이 향상되었다. 셋째, 집단미술치료 프로그램 과정에서 조현병 환자들은 후기로 갈수록 자기를 표현하 는 행동과 집단원들에게 관심 보이는 행동이 많이 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 제한된 사례수로 연구결과를 일 반화하는데 제한점이 있으나 집단미술치료 프로그램이 조현병 환자의 자아존중감에 효과가 있었음을 알 수 있 었다.
The object of this research is to investigate the effect of group art therapy on the self-esteem of the schizophrenic patients. The subjects for this reserah are six schizophrenic patients hospitalized in D hospital. The Program was composed of three steps: relaxing and self-introduction, selfexploring and self-esteem enhancing, interaction promotion and session finishing. Each session was 90minutes, once a week, totaling eight sessions. To find out the effect, the researchers analyzed self-reporting measures and LMT response characteristics before and after each session. The results are as follows: First, group art therapy enhances the self-esteem of schizophrenic patients and improves in the sub-factors of self-degradation, self-assertion and self-anxiety meaningfully. Second, group art therapy improved the LMT response characteristics concerning self-esteem and enhanced the ability distinguish the river and the road, integrative capacity, and capacity of expression of space sense. Third, schizophrenic patients exhibited self-expression and attention behavior in group art therapy process. Therefore, one can conclude that group art therapy is effective in improving the self-esteem and the LMT response characteristics of schizophrenic patients, though it is difficult to generalize the results owing to the limited number of research cases.
