본 연구는 군 부적응으로 치료를 받고 있는 병사 중 외래병동과 폐쇄병동에 있는 병사 간 나무그림 반응특 성에 차이가 있는지를 알아본 것이다. 연구대상은 국군 A병원의 정신과에 2012년부터 2013년까지 군 부적응 치료 대상자 중 외래병동 54명, 폐쇄병동에 입원한 병사 81명을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 나무그림검사의 채점지 표는 Koch(1952/1985)와 高矯雅春(1989)과 나무그림검사의 해석기준을 형식적 분석 28문항과 내용적 분석 18문 항으로 구성하여 외래병동과 폐쇄병동 간 나무그림의 반응특성을 알아보기 위하여 교차분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 나무의 형식적인 분석에서 필압, 잎의 수, 그루터기 유무, 음영유무, 수피유무, 부착물, 주변 환경묘사, 기저선 유무, 가지를 제외한 수관 내부 추가 묘사가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 둘째, 나무의 내용적 분석에서 바람유무, 생존여부, 나무강도, 상흔생성, 마음에 드는지가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 따라서 나무그림검사가 군 부적응 병사들의 군 생활적응을 파악할 수 있는 보조도구로 사용할 수 있음을 확인한 것에 의의가 있다.
This study attempted to understand if there is a difference of responses to the Baum test between soldiers in an outpatients ward and those in a closed ward who were being treated in the Army Adaptation Department. Study participants were comprised of 54 soldiers in an outpatient’s ward 81 soldiers in a closed ward designated as maladaptive soldiers by the Department of Psychiatry of the A-army hospital. The score index of the Baum test adopts those of Koch(1952) and Gogoachun(1989) and employed 28 questions of structural analysis and 18 questions of content analysis in order to collect data. The results are as follows. First, in the formal analysis of trees, statistically significant results were obtained in pen pressure, in the number of leaves, and in the existence of tree stumps, of shades, of tree bark, of base line, of extraneous matter on tree, of a description of the environmental background, and of a description of the inside of the tree crown except for tree branches. Second, in content analysis, statistically significant results were found for the existence of wind, tree survival, tree strength, scars left, and coming into his or her favor. Accordingly, these data proves that the Baum test can be used to check maladaptive soldiers’ adaptability levels in their army lives.
