본 연구는 미술치료가 불안과 낮은 자아존중감을 가진 비행청소년에게 효과가 있는지를 알아보기 위한 사례 연구이다. 연구대상은 D시의 K고등학교 2학년 남학생으로, 절도를 해서 D시의 가정법원으로부터 미술치료를 받도록 의뢰되었다. 미술치료는 2015년 5월 16일부터 2015년 7월 5일까지 주 2회 60분씩 총 16회기를 실시하였 다. 연구도구로는 본 치료의 효과를 검증하기 위해 상태-특성 불안 척도, 자아존중감 척도, HTP 그림검사가 사 용되었다. 그리고 불안과 낮은 자아존중감에 대한 미술치료 프로그램의 효과는 회기별로 관찰되고 기록되었으 며, 미술치료 처치 후에 대상자의 사전, 사후 심리 및 행동특성 변화가 비교 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 다 음과 같다. 첫째, 미술치료 실시 후 연구대상자의 불안 척도 점수가 102점에서 85점으로 감소되어 미술치료가 비행청소년의 불안 감소에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 미술치료 실시 후 연구대상자의 자아 존중감 척도 점수가 87점에서 113점으로 증가되어 미술치료가 비행청소년의 자아존중감을 향상시키는 데 긍정 적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 미술치료가 비행청소년의 불안 감소 및 자아존중감 향상에 효과적 이라고 할 수 있다.
This study is a case study that examines how art therapy can effect on juvenile delinquent with anxiety and low self-esteem. The subject of this study is a second grade student at K highschool in D city, whom the D city Family Court asked to attend art therapy because the student had been stealing. A total of 16 sessions was conducted, each with 60 minutes long and occurring twice a week, from May 16th to July 5th, 2015. As a measurement tool, the anxiety scale, the self-esteem scale, and HTP were used to verify the effects of this program. The effects of art therapy on anxiety and low self-esteem were recorded and analyzed in each session, and the subject's psychological and behavioral changes before and after the treatment were compared and analyzed. The results were as follows; First, after finishing the art therapy, the anxiety scale score has decreased from 102 to 85. Therefore, the art therapy had an effect on decreasing anxiety in the juvenile delinquent. Second, after finishing the art therapy, the self-esteem scale score has increased from 87 to 113. Therefore, the art therapy had an effect on improving the self-esteem in the juvenile delinquent. Consequently, art therapy is effective on decreasing anxiety and increasing self-esteem in the juvenile delinquent.
