As clothing is considered as “A Portable Art Gallery” by Roach and Eicher, it includes artistic elements having close relationship with art movements. The purpose of this study is to survey the characteristics and the movement of fashion in relation with fine art in the twentieth century, as an aesthetic and historical study, and to propose fashion history education on the basis of art education curriculum. From Art Nouwen to Pop Art, fashion showed the idea of art movement in a convenient way in our everyday life and made us feel aesthetic experience purifying our life and showing the ideal of human life. Hence, it is important to apply the art education curriculum in fashion especially with the application of DBAE for historical, aesthetic and critical education with the harmony of art studio.
