Today, the emotionally superior individual, who can identify, control and thus satisfy his own and other' s emotion well, is more positively acknowledged than the genius individual with superior IQ. This kind of superior EQ is a very important ability in living ill a versatile modern society. This study investigated the concept and the meaning of EG, which is closely related to children' s social and emotional growth, and an artistic approach in education as one of educational methods to improve children's EQ in the literature review, An artistic approach in education with visual and sensory characteristics would effectively promote whole-person education and EQ. Children can learn how to cooperate and share their feelings with others, as they identify and accept their own emotion by participating in at activities. Also, they can learn socially mutual reaction in a positive way through the co-work, as they accept other' s emotion by sharing ideas, intention, and materials with each others. Further study should be followed to maximize the potential of the artistic approach in education as an educational method for improving children' s EQ.
