This study examined the currnet art-education curriculum at an undergraduate and a graduate level in teacher teacher training institute and suggested a view on the implication of curriculum development for pre-service and in-service art-teacher education in Korea. The study included 1) curriculum for pre-service teacher education for primary and secondary school in general. 2) curriculum for pre-service and in-service teacher education for primary and secondary school in art education major(emphasis). 3) the comparison among art-education curriculum for pre-service art-teacher education(primary and secondary school-an undergraduate level) and in-service art-teacher education(a graduate level) in each teacher training institiute. The purpose of the study was to examine the current curriculum for pre-service and in-service art-teacher education focused on art-education courses and to improve art-education curriculum at an undergraduate and a graduate level in teacher training institute in Korea.
