This paper critically analyzes the children’s art education in Korea and presents the Nadri(going out) art education as an alternative case. In particular, the children that live in Kangnam district were researched in order to analyze the problems. This paper presents art in nature as a solution to help Korea’s art education head for a more integrative perspective instead of the current function-centered art education. This will be possible through the relation of shape and color, the basic elements of art. In addition, this paper emphasizes the need for the training of the right btain as a basic course in art education and the importance of education based on creativity and emotion.
