Subject teacher system was attempted in elementary school in 1970 and has been enforced under the legal regulation since 1992. Many studies have been tried on the strategic method of subject teacher system so far. Yet, elementary school teachers are so discontented with the system that they have a bad effect on their students in classroom. The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the current situation and suggest some improvement points of subject teacher system. The subjects of this study are elementary school teachers in Pusan area.
