Although early design education is very popular practice countries, there has been little effort on the adaptation of education programs for Korean children. Providing experience design is excellent approach that fosters their imagination as a design and science, and gives new discovery and an self-consciousness to help children know delight of re-creation thought and analysis. A questionnaire analysis is conducted for making an elementary textbook of design elements and principles, basic design, problem-solving ability ana developing creativity. Five hundred fifteen teachers in twelve elementary schools participated in this questionnaire. The frequency method was used to analyze teachers' opinion about design education statistically. The results suggested that a design textbook should not have contents about outcome-centered study of making and decorating but have systematic guidance about design elements and principles and applied ability for process-centered study, design education as a process of problem-solving, various design area, and computer-aided design. The design program should be possible to make our children have positive attitude to their environment in the present and ability to deal with actively a problem, which can occur in the future.
