Arts Propel 교수학습 이론에 따른 한국불교미술문화 감상의 창의성 프로그램 모형

A study on the development of children's art program forcused on appreciation of traditional Korean Buddhist and its culture with Arts Propel's teaching and learning method

The purpose of the study was 1) to develop art programs for increasing creativity based on art appreciation of traditional Korean Buddhist art and its culture, as one attempt to establish identity of Korean traditional art and its culture and to understand our ancestors' lives, and 2) to apply instructional methods of 'Art Propel' for developing children's creativity through art, which has got attention recently for its theoretical and practical effect on art education and evaluation of portfolio. This art program was designed to construct a learning process which creation, perception, and reflection is interactively combined and influenced each other, and to enrich creative thinking ability by free problem-solving process in order to perceive art creation and to indulge children into art activities. It helps children understand Korean Buddhist art and it culture which have influenced on ancient Korean art history in many ways, and increase the ability for art appreciation. In addition, it finally leads to improve creative thinking and expression ability. The educational goal of the program is as follows: 1. To understand and appreciate Korean Buddhist art and its culture with divers viewpoints and way of thinking. 2. To increase creativity through art producing and creative writing. 3. To develop relationship with others by discussing and to esteem self-expression though art activities in order to encourage reflective thinking. Its teaching and learning methods help children learn the importance of social interrelationship with others, understand others' different point of views, and perceive the process of knowledge constructed for themselves.
