This study is concerned with teaching and learning methods for educating Korean integration for the unification in art education. Education through art plays the most important role in the whole in terms of culture, value, attitudes, and so on. The purpose of this study is to present eight different teaching and learning methods as the instructional strategies for teaching Korean unification in art education to elementary, middle and high school students on the basis of the 7th Korean National Art Curriculum and art text books. The teaching and learning methods include learning from cooperative project, debate, experience, culture assimilator, portfolio, ICT, games, and raw data. It is desirable to teach students national identity, national homogeneity, national harmony and national solidarity in the bases for value education through art education. It can provide the chances to restore the humanity by understanding each other's artworks and expressing meaning and feeling and to learn the nature of art. For further study it is recommended that the contents for teaching Korean unification at each level in art education need to be developed for practical application to a school setting, and the teaching and learning methods appropriate for the contents developed need to be selected for better learning and teaching at school. Selected theme and contents as well as teaching and learning methods from diverse perspectives would be a big help for students to understand the present situation of North and South Korea, and build national conformity consciousness through art education.
