This study purposes to analyse the craft contents in the actual art textbooks, to comprehend its problems and to make a proposition for the improvement. This analysis, based on the comprehension on the Craft and its mutation, is made by two angles: the choice of the craft contents and the work of 'didactic transposition' from Craft to Craft Education. First, the choice of the contents could be analysed by different questions: to accept traditional craft, craft design and art craft; to accept Korean traditional craft and foreign tradition craft; to accept aristocratic craft and popular craft; to choose some craft materials; and to keep the accent on craft and design to some degree. Second, the analysis of 'didactic transposition' permits to expose different problems and propositions for improvement: the necessity to put the relation with different genres; to overcome the contents construction focused on superficial expression of subjects and methods, and the repetition of the same contents without consideration on the grades; and to highlight on the educative values reserved on the Craft genre. Previously stated problems connote not only the comtemporary craft which has no craft criticism, but also education which isn't intimately involved in craft culture.
