Internet, PC, 핸드폰, 디지털 카메라, 만화, 사진, 영상, 일러스트레이션, 상업 공간, 사이버 공간 등에서 시각 이미지는 날도 다양해지고 있으며, 양 또한 폭발적으로 늘어나고 있다. 소비문화가 인터넷이나 DMB 폰, PMP와 같은 새로운 미디어를 통해 그야말로 스펙타클(spectacle)한 문화를 전개해 가고 있다. 현 시대의 학생들은 이미지의 홍수 시대에 살고 있으며, 많은 이미지에 알게 모르게 담겨있는 메시지들이 학생들의 소비를 비롯하여, 자아관, 가치관, 세계관까지 영향을 미친다는 사실을 놓고볼 때, 이전의 교육과는 다른 교육이 요구되고 있다.
The purpose of the study is to develop practical cases of teaching-learning using aesthetics. This study examined a way of searching for teaching topics or subjects which are closely related to the lives of students among aesthetic issues, and integrating them into experiences or ideas of students. Literatures on the history of aesthetics education and approaches to aesthetic in the history of western art were reviewed. Based on the general model of teaching-learning, the primary program of the present study was planned. According to the each process of the model, students' need were analyzed. Based on the literature review of analytic aesthetics, a learning program named as ‘linguistic analysis approach of beauty’ was created. A pilot study was administered to 14 students of S high school in Seoul. After revisions and finalizations, the program was conducted to 22 students of J high school. The results of the program is as follows. First, a lecture, ‘understanding of beauty in the western art history’ stimulated students' interests, and presented material were helpful in obtaining background information. Second, the assignment of internet searching was also useful in internally motivating students and building up knowledge. Finally, small group discussion and mind-map activity stimulated the expansion of thoughts and interactions.
