마이스터고의 근로 주체 형성기제

A Meister High School's Discipline Mechanism to produce Worker Subjects

이 연구는 대도시 중산층 지역에 위치한 마이스터고에 대한 사례연구다. 마이스터고는 학생들을 취업이 잘 되는 근로주체로 형성시키기 위해서 학생들의 몸, 행동, 지식을 특정한 방식으로 훈육했 다. 학생들의 내면과 성향은 학교 시험과 자격에 의해서 가시화되어 분류되고 관리되고 기업에 추천되 었다. 학생들은 더 나은 경쟁력을 갖기 위해서 성적 경쟁을 하고 학교의 생활규정에 복속했다. 학생들의 가치를 위계화시키고, 그들의 정상성을 판단하고 훈육하는 중요한 지식 권력은 회사의 취업 요구이고 조 건이었다. 결국 마이스터란 지배규범과 지식을 비판적으로 사고하고 행동하는 주체가 아니라 상대 적으로 더 나은 취업지위와 가능성을 갖기 위해서 잘 규제된 자율성의 원리에 따라서 기업의 요구조건 에 복속하는 주체였다.

The study is based on a case study of Hanla Meister high school located at a middle class living area in a metropolitan city. This study analyzes how the high school regulates and disciplines students in order to employ a good companies. The school produces docile subjects to regulate their bodies and attitude for getting better advantage in the process of employment. The school standardizes and controls rigorously students' time, bodies, behavior, while visualizing, classifying and managing students' inside through tests and norms. In this process, big companies are important knowledge power to judge students' normality and discipline.
