In this study, it is a purpose of the study to present trends or problems in the career education by investigating its contents performed actually in Japanese universities and the like. The importance of the career education is accepted in the field of the university. But it is in the situation that the career education cannot be said to be performed smoothly and effectively. It is easy to represent system and structure of the career education, but in fact, it is a top priority to heighten consciousness and capability of students and staffs who employ the career education efficiently, and it is necessary to improve continuously them over specific periods. Moreover, motivations for which students understand aim of the carrier education and participate positively in the programs related to the carrier education, or staff's interest or support is required, and it is necessary to plan public relation activities etc. and make relationships between students and staff deeper. In order to solve the problems, partnership in the university, and cooperation among the university, corporations, communities, and homes are required. It is thought to be an establishment of the effective career education to form maintainable measures based on the reality with long-term viewpoint because the effect of the carrier education is not immediately connected to its desirable results.
