다문화 예비학교의 실행 양상 분석 연구 ―경남 김해 A중학교의 운영을 중심으로―

The Analysis of the Implementation at Secondary Multi-Cultural Prep Schools

본 연구는 다문화 예비학교 제도가 실제 학교 현장에서 어떻 게 운영되는지를 운영자의 관점에서 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 다문화 예비학교 관련 자료집과 같은 문서 자료를 분석하고, 학교 현 장의 학교장, 다문화 예비학교 담당교사, 한국어 교사, 중도입국 학생 들의 담임교사, 그리고 중도입국 학생들과 학부모 면담을 수행하였다. 중도입국 학생들의 교육이 강조되면서 다문화 예비학교의 원활한 운영을 위한 지원이 여러 측면에서 이루어지고 있기는 하지만 행정 기 관과 일선 학교의 일정 운영상 차이로 인해 프로그램의 효과를 극대화 하기 어려웠다. 다문화 예비학교가 학교 현장에서 실제 운영되는 과정에서 여러 문 제점을 탐색할 수 있었다. 중도입국 학생들에게 다문화 예비학교는 학 교생활에 적응하는 유용한 기회로 작용하고 있었다. 그러나 이 사업에 참여하는 현장 교사들은 담당 업무, 효과적인 수업, 학생 지도 및 학부 면담 등에서 어려움을 겪고 있었으며, 관련된 교사들의 협조와 긴 밀한 협업이 절실히 요구되었다.

This study shows how to support the program of multi-cultural well-to-do class by educational authorities and view this program from the view points of managers and teachers at middle school Korean classes. The research analyzed operational plan of multi-cultural education and application guide of multi-cultural prep school presentation by the Ministry of Education, Geongsangnamdo Office of Education, and Geongsangnamdo Gimhae Office of Education to achieve its goal. I interviewed the principal, manager at multi-cultural prep school, Korean language teacher, homeroom teacher of Immigrant Youth, and 5 immigrant students to gather information. We were able to explore various problems in the process of running the multicultural preliminary school in the school field. The importance of education for Immigrant Students leads to assist schools through business presentation, consultation and workshops, etc. by the officials to help smooth operation of the multi-cultural prep school. However, the advantages decrease because the authorities aid the program without considering the situation of the school. Second, even though teachers understand and consider immigrant students, they are not in contact enough with them and their parents because they believe it’s difficult for them to communicate due to different languages.
