안면비대칭에 대한 주관적 인지도와 정모두부방사선사진 분석치의 연관성

Relationship between Perception of Facial Asymmetry and Posteroanterior Cephalometric Measurements

본 연구는 환자으 비대칭 인지도에 영향을 미치는 정모두부방사선사진 계측치를 알아보기 위하여 시행하였다. 전남대학교병원 교정과에 내원한 환자 중 정모두부방사선사진 촬영이 필요한 12세 이상의 환자 100명을 대상으로 본인의 얼굴이 좌우 비대칭이라고 생각하고 있는가 를 물어보아 비대칭 인지 정도에 따라 5개 군 (아니다, 아니라고 생각한다, 모르겠다, 비대칭이라고 생각한다, 분명희 비대칭이다)으로 분류하였다. 각 대상자의 정모두부방사선사진 투사도에서 계관(crista galli)과 전비극첨(anterior nadal spine)을 연결한 선을 기준으로 하여 비대칭 정도를 나타내는 9개의 선 계측치와 4개의 각도 계측치를 비교분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. Menton의 변위와 상,하악 정중선차이가 클수록 안면비대칭에 대한 본인의 인지도가 높음을 알 수 있었다. 2. 모르겠다 라고 응답한 군의 모든 계측치는 아니다 , 아니라고 생각한다 군과 통계적 유의차를 보이지 않았다. 3. 비대칭이라고 생각한다 라고 응답한 군의 모든 계측치는 분명히 비대칭이다 군과 통계적 유의차를 보이지 않았다. 이상의 결과는 안면비대칭에 대한 환자 본인의 인지 정도를 물어보는 것이 교정진단에 도움이 됨을 시사하였다.

This study was aimed at how posteroanterior cephalometric measurements affect the perception of patient about his/her facial asymmetry. One hundred orthodontic patients, over the age pf 12, whorequired a posteroanterior cephalogram in the Department of Orthodontics of Chonnam National University Hospital were usrd as the subjects. They were asked if they thought their faces were asymmentrical. Their responses were classified into 5 groups based on the level of asymmentry as follows : Definitely No, Don´t Know, Probably Yes, and Definitely Yes. Nine linear and four angular measurements from each posteroanterior cephalometric radiographs were analysed on the standard of the line between crista galli and anterior nasal spine to show the extent of asymmetry. Through this comparative study, the following results were obtained. 1. As the deviation of menton and the midline discrepancy of upper and lower jaws were greater, the perception of patients about their facial astmmetry was higher. 2. All the measurements from the group Don´t Know showed no statistical difference from those of the groups Definitely No or prbably No. 3. All the measurements from the group Probabit Yes showed no difference from those of the group Definitely Yes.
