Grit과 학습에 관한 연구동향 분석

Research Trends on Grit and Learning: Analysis of literature found in domestic and overseas academic journals published

최근 HRD분야에서는 심리학․교육학 등에서 시작된 ‘장기적 목표에 대한 인내와 열정’을 뜻하는 개인의 심리적 특성인 Grit에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 그간 실시된 HRD분야에서의 Grit과 관련된 연구는 HRD분야에서 성과와 학습 관점이 존재함에도 불구하고, 성과와 관련된 변수와의 연구만 일부 진행되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 HRD분야에서 Grit이라는 개념에 대한 연구 및 활용 가능성을 탐색하기 위하여, Grit과 학습과 관련된 국내외 문헌을 바탕으로 Grit과 학습의 관계를 살펴보는 통합적인 문헌연구를 실시하였다. 이를 위하여 문헌을 검색하고, 검색한 문헌을 단계적으로 검토하는 단계를 거쳤으며, 최종선정 된 문헌을 대상으로 종합 및 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, Grit과 학습에 대한 연구 논문의 기본정보를 분석하여 연구수행연도, 수행국가, 연구방법 및 연구대상, 게재학술지, Grit 변수의 역할 등을 도출하였다. 둘째, 문헌분석 결과 문헌들을 Grit이 높은 사람이 훈련프로그램에서 가져오는 결과, Grit이 높은 사람이 공식교육에서 가져오는 결과, 열악한 상황 속에서 Grit이 높은 사람의 결과, 기타 환경 개선의 필요성으로 범주화할 수 있었다. 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 학문적․실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

Grit defined as perseverance and passion for long term goals is an emerging topic in the field of HRD, psychology and education. So far, relationship between grit and performance was only explored in the HRD field, even though there are learning and performance sides in HRD. The relationships between grit and learning have yet to be explored. So the purpose of this study was to identify the relationships between grit and learning to provide various implications in the field of HRD through the integrative literature review. For this purpose, searching, reviewing the articles using staged review approach and synthesizing and analysing the final selected articles. The result provided that, first of all, basic information of selected articles such as publication year, country, research method, name of the journal and role of the grit. Second, synthesizing results are categorized into 4 topics: case of the training program, case of the formal education, case of the poor environment and the need of environment improvement. Based on these results, academic/practical implications are discussed.
