협력기반 봉사학습이 예비유아교사의 문제해결력에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Cooperation-Based Service Learning on Preservice Early Childhood Teacher’s Problem Solving

본 연구는 교직준비기의 중요성을 고려하여, 예비유아교사에게 협력기반 봉사학습을 적용하고, 이러한 경험이 이들의 문제해결력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 살펴봄으로써, 유아교사 양성교육과정에서 교육봉사 학점이수를 위한 교육적이며 실제적인 하나의 실천적 사례를 제공하는 것에 연구의 의의가 있었다. 연구대상자는 전남 S시 소재 S대학교에 재학 중인 예비유아교사 33명으로, 이들은 모두 교육부와 한국과학창의재단이 주최 및 주관한 대학생 돌봄교실 및 쏙쏙캠프 봉사에 참여하였다. 설문조사를 통해 연구가 진행되었으며, 자료처리는 SPSSWIN 20.0을 이용해 평균과 표준편차, 대응표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 협력기반 봉사학습은 예비유아교사들의 전체 문제해결력과 하위요소 중 문제해결력 자신감 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 연구결과는 유아교사 양성교육기관뿐만 아니라 미래형 인재를 양성하고자 하는 모든 대학들에 어떤 방식으로 학생들에게 봉사를 접근시켜야 할지 성찰하게 하는 하나의 사례를 제공하였다는 측면에서 의미가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of cooperation-based service learning on preservice early childhood teacher’s problem solving. The subjects were 33 pre-service early childhood teachers enrolling in S. University located in S City, Jeonnam, and all of them attended the University(College) Students’ Dolbom Class and Soksok Camp Services held and sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity. Data were analyzed with a mean, standard deviation, and paired t-test. Findings were as follows: cooperation-based service learning were effective in enhancing teachers’ overall problem solving and problem solving confidence. The results of this study are meaningful in that they provided a case that allows reflection on how to approach with the service students in all colleges that would train the future talent as well as preschool teachers pre-service educational facilities.
