교육과정 쟁점에 기반한 고교 학점제 가능성 분석

Analysis of Possibility of Highschool Credit System based on Curricular Issues

본 연구에서는 최근 중요하게 등장하고 있고, 실제 학교 현장에서 적용 예정으로 있는 고교 학점제의 가능성을 다양한 교육과정 상의 쟁점에 비추어 분석하는 데에 초점을 둔다. 최근에 국가는 고교학점제 시행과 관련하여 보다 구체적인 조치들을 단행하고 있다. 학점제의 가능성은 부정적인 측면에서의 문제가 아니라 학점제의 편성과 운영과 관련해서 교육과정의 측면에서 쟁점이 되는 부분이 어떠한 것인지, 그리고 그 쟁점이 지니는 의미는 무엇인지, 그리고 종국에는 그 가능성이 어느 정도인지를 살펴보고자 한다. 학점제의 기본 정신은 학생들에게 과목 선택권을 강화시켜주고 학생들의 성장, 진로, 진학에 도움을 주는 장치이지만, 학생 선택이 학교교육에서 제대로 구현되기 위해서는 여러 측면들이 검토되고 교육적으로 논의되어야 하는 과제들이 많다. 외국의 경우와 달리 한국에서의 특수한 고교 학점제는 대학에서의 학점제와 다르게 접근될 가능성이 높으며, 현재 논의되고 있는 이러한 시스템이 제대로 작동되기 위해서는 여러 측면에서 다양한 요인들을 생태학적으로 고려해야 한다는 점을 강조하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 학점제 가능성에 대한 분석 기준은 교육과정의 편성과 운영의 기준을 의미하며, 여기에는 학점제에 대한 개념적 요건에 대한 검토, 학점제를 도입하기 위한 제도적․법률적 검토, 학점제 운영을 지원하기 위한 조건, 고교교육과 대학 입시와의 연계성 측면에서의 관련성 검토 등이 있다. 향후 연구 결과는 곧 시행 예정인 학점제의 구제적인 운영에 유의미한 시사를 제공해줄 것으로 기대된다.

Recently we have a great change about highschool curriculum system for educational reform. This study aims to analyze the critical issues of credit system and to suggest new meaning of curricular aspects. According to Ministry of Education, research school of credit system is managed by national level from 2018. In credit system, it is important to assure student’s participation in school curriculum implementation. But, the growing participation of student in subject selection may result in the difficulty of easy learning, supply and demand of teacher, consciousness of curriculum standards. To solve the these problems, I will try to analysis the curricular issues of credit system at high school level. There are many issues: conceptual condition, applicative condition, management and evaluative condition, and articulation with college entrance examination. We should pay attention to the change of educative selection to non-educative involve of parents in school curriculum management. This research may influence the reform drive for implementing highschool curriculum based on the learner s needs. Unlike in case of other country, highschool credit system as a unique curriculum should be studied into certain learning system in contrary to college credit system. This study emphasized the ecological factors imbedded in managerial mechanistic conditions for effective implementing a highschool credit system. In the future, this study is expected to give a meaningful implications to effective implementation of credit system.
