초등학교 교사를 위한 진화론 설명 체계

Evolution Explanation Scheme for Elementary School Teachers

초등 교사는 교사 교육과정 중에 과학 내용 학습량이 중등 과학교사에 비해 매우 적다. 특히 개념의 위계가 다양하고 폭이 넓은 생물 분야 지식은 중등 교사에 비해 더욱 부족하다. 대부분의 초등 예비 교사들이 고등학교 선택 과정에서 인문 사회 분야를 수강하고 입학한 경우가 많아 현대 생물학의 핵심인 진화 관련 내용을 학습한 경우가 거의 없다. 최근 과학교육 동향이 진화를 중심으로 하는 설명 체계를 강화하고 있어 초등 예비교사와 초등 교사들에게 진화 관련내용 학습이 꼭 필요하다. 특히 지적설계론을 주장하는 연구 집단에서 진화론을 부정하는 연구와 발표를 강화하는 현 시점에서 진화 관련 교육과 연구는 더욱 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 생명과학의 본성을 이해하는 데 필수요소인 진화 설명 체계를 구안하고자 하였고, 중등과학에서 학습하게 될 진화 내용에 관한 안내 역할을 탐색하였다.

Elementary school teachers have a very small amount of science content to be taught during the pre-service teacher education compared to the secondary science teachers. In particular, knowledge of the wide range of conceptual hierarchies and wide breadth of biology is even more inadequate than that of secondary school teachers. Most of the elementary school teachers have taken the field of humanities and social sciences in high school selection curriculum and rarely learned about the evolutionary contents which is the core of modern biology. Recently, science education trends are strengthening the explanation system centered on evolution, so it is necessary to learn evolution related contents for elementary school teachers and elementary school teachers. In particular, evolutionary education and research are needed at the present time to strengthen research and presentations that deny evolutionary theory in research groups claiming intelligent design theory. In this study, an explanation system for evolution, which is essential for understanding the nature of life sciences was constructed. And the role of guidance on the evolutionary contents to be learned in secondary science was explored.
