Exploring the Influencing Factors of Teacher Efficacy in Innovative Schools and General Schools: Focusing on the Professional Learning Community

연구목적: 본 연구에서는 혁신학교와 일반학교의 교사효능감 영향 요인을 탐색하는데 학교 안 전문적 학습공동체를 중심으로 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 경기교육종단연구 5차년도의 교사 데이터를 사용하여 위계적 회귀분석방법을 활용하여 분석하였으며 전문적 학습공동체 효과의 학교 특성별 차이를 알아보기 위해 혁신학교와 일반 학교를 나누어 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 혁신학교 교사들의 사기 및 열의, 교직만족도, 교사 간 협력이 높아질수록 교사들의 교사효능감이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 다만 본 연구의 주요 변수인 전문적 학습공동체 변수의 경우 혁신학교 교사들의 교사효능감에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일반 학교 교사들의 기본배경 변수들 가운데 연령이 교사효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 사기 및 열의, 교직만족도, 학교만족도, 교사 간 협력, 전문적 학습공동체 변수를 추가로 회귀시킨 결과 연령의 효과는 사라지고 교직경력이 교사효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 일반 학교 교사들의 사기 및 열의, 교직만족도, 교사 간 협력, 학교 안 전문적 학습공동체 참여가 높아질수록 교사효능감이 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 첫째, 교사들의 사기 및 열의, 교직만족도, 교사 간 협력을 향상시킬 수 있는 구체적 방안을 마련해야 한다. 둘째, 학교 안 전문적 학습공동체가 보다 실질적으로 운영되기 위해서는 수업 외의 불필요한 행정업무 감축, 주당 수업시수 조정 등 학교 현장 제반에 걸쳐 교사들의 근무여건을 개선시켜야 한다. 셋째, 학교 안 전문적 학습공동체에 대한 교사들의 자발적인 참여를 이끌어낼 만한 방안을 마련해야 한다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the influencing factors of teacher efficacy in innovative schools and general schools focusing on the professional learning community. Method: Using the 5th year data of teacher panel from GEPS, this study employed Hierarchical Regression Analysis Method to examine the impact of a professional learning community in school on teacher efficacy. Results: First, the higher the innovative school teacher’s morale and enthusiasm of the teachers at innovation schools, teaching profession satisfaction, inter-teacher cooperation, and higher teachers efficacy increased. Second, and , teaching career showed a significant effect on teacher efficacy. Third, teacher efficacy improved as general school teacher s morale and enthusiasm, teaching satisfaction, inter-teacher cooperation, and participation in a professional learning community are increased. Conclusion: First, the specific measures should be established to improve teachers morale and enthusiasm, teaching satisfaction, and inter-teacher cooperation. Second, the working conditions across school sites should be improved. Third, it is necessary to prepare a measures to lead teachers voluntary participation in the professional learning community in school.
