유아교사들이 인식한 직업기초교육으로서의 핵심역량 중요도

Study of the Early Childhood Teacher’s Recognition on Key Competencies Importance as Vocational Basic Education

본 연구는 전라남도 및 전라북도 소재 유치원과 어린이집에 근무하는 현장 유아교사들을 대상으로, 이들이 인식한 유아교사로서 갖추어야 할 직업기초교육으로서의 전반적인 핵심역량 중요도 수준과 배경변인에 따른 핵심역량 중요도 수준간의 차이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이는 현장직무에서 중요시하는 핵심역량을 증진시킬 수 있는 교육적 방안에 대해 모색할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공한다는 측면에서 연구의 의의가 있다. 연구결과, 첫째 유아교사들은 핵심역량 중요도 수준에서 자기관리역량을 가장 중요하다고 인식하고 있었으며, 의사소통능력, 대인관계역량, 종합적사고력, 자원․정보․기술의 활용역량, 글로벌역량 등이 그 뒤를 이었다. 둘째, 유아교사들의 배경변인에 따른 핵심역량 중요도 인식 차이 결과에서는 학력과 연령, 경력에 따라 일부 핵심역량들에서 집단 간 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 유아교사 양성과정에서 현장 유아교사들이 중요하다고 인식한 핵심역량을 증진시키기 위한 교육적 방안에 대해 제언하였으며, 연구가 갖는 한계점을 바탕으로 향후 추진되어야할 연구 과제를 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to research early childhood teacher’s recognition working at kindergarten and day care center in Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do on overall key competencies importance level and key competencies importance level based on background variables as vocational basic education. This study was worthwhile to seek educational methods to enhance key competencies that are important on the job by improving the level of key competencies of pre-service teachers who majored in early childhood education. Findings were as follows: first, self-management competencies was the highest level among the key competencies importance level, followed by communication competencies, personal relations competencies, comprehensive thinking skills, application ability of resources, information and technology and global competencies. Second, as a result of an analysis of the difference of key competencies importance level according to early childhood teacher’s background variables, there was a significant difference between groups in some key competencies according to academic background, ages, career. Based on the results of this study, improvements in the early childhood teacher nurture curriculum to enhance the key competencies as vocational basic education were proposed and based on the limitations of the research, we propose future research projects.
