재직 성인 대학생의 학업성취도 향상을 위한 학습 방법 탐색

A study of exploring learning methods to improve academic achievement of a working adult college students

본 연구는 일과 학습을 병행하는 재직 성인 대학생의 학업 성취도를 높이기 위해 심층 인터뷰와 참여 관찰, 자료 분석의 과정을 걸쳐 재직 성인 대학생의 학습 방법을 탐색하였다. 연구 참여자는 학과별 상위 성적을 유지하고 전공 외 평생교육사 자격 취득을 위해 주말에도 학습하는 학생 중 7명을 선정하였다. 첫째, 녹음, 영상, 인터넷 자료를 활용하여 자기주도학습을 하고 있다. 둘째, 현장중심 과제 이행을 통해 실생활 활용 및 사회적 역할 탐색 학습을 하고 있다. 셋째, 선후배간의 멘토멘티 활동을 통해 문제해결 학습을 하고 있다. 넷째, 학습동아리 활동을 통해 서로의 경험을 공유하는 공동체 학습을 하고 있다. 다섯째, 교수와 상담을 통해 학습 장애요인 및 제2의 삶을 설계하는 자기성찰 학습을 하고 있다. 이 연구의 함의는 질적 연구 방법을 적용하여 미시적 접근을 시도한다는 점에서 학문적 중요성을 갖는다. 또한 선취업 후학습이 확대되는 시점에서 재직 성인 대학생들의 학업성취도를 높일 수 있는 학습 방법을 제시할 수 있다는 데 의의가 있다.

In this study, depth interviews, participation observation and data analysis of adult university students who participated in the study, the adult college students who work and study together were learning as follows to improve their academic achievement. The study participants selected seven students who were studying on weekends in order to maintain their top scores in their departments and to obtain qualifications for a lifelong educator certificate. First, self-directed learning using recording, video, and internet materials is conducted. Second, they are practicing real life and exploring social roles through field - oriented task fulfillment. Third, they are learning to solve problems through mentor mentee activities. Fourth, community learning that share experiences with each other through learning club activities. Fifth, self - reflective learning is designed to design learning difficulties and the second life through consultation with various professors. The implication of this study is that it has an academic significance in that it has attempted a micro approach by applying qualitative research method. Also, It is meaningful that the age of admission after graduation can offer suitable learning methods to adult college students.
