노인의 자아실현 예측모형

Constructing the Self Actualization Model of the Older Adults

본 연구는 노인의 자아실현에 영향을 미치는 변수를 설명하는 요인을 규명하기 위해 노인정과 경로당 이용 노인 223명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 자료를 수집하여 SPSS WIN Program 15.0으로 통계분석을 하였고, LISREL 8.5 통계 package를 이용하여 모형의 적합도 검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과 노인의 자아실현에 직접적으로 가장 큰 영향을 준 요인은 자기 효능감, 다음이 자존감 순으로 설명력은 58%였다. 노인의 자기효능감에 가장 큰 영향을 준 요인은 경제적 안정, 자녀관계 순으로 설명력은 61%였고, 노인의 자존감에 가장 큰 영향을 준 요인은 자녀관계이며, 설명력은 51%였다. 따라서 노인들의 자아실현을 긍정적으로 이끌어 낼 수 있는 영향요인인 자기 효능감과 자존감을 향상시킬 수 있는 간호중재 개발이 요구되며, 특히 자기효능감과 자존감을 직접적으로 향상시킬 수 있는 요인인 경제적 안정과 원만한 자녀관계, 여가참여 등의 노인 지향적 맞춤형 프로그램 개발이 요구되며, 특히 이를 위하여 지자체 별 특성에 적합한 정책마련이 요구된다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the self-realization of the elderly. The data were collected using a survey conducted to 223 elderly users of senior citizen centers, and SPSS WIN Program 15.0 was used for statistical analysis and the statistical package was used to test the fit of the model. The results showed that the biggest factors having a direct impact on the elderly’s self-realization were self-efficacy and then self-esteem, and explanatory power was 58%. The most important factors influencing the self-efficacy of the elderly were economic stability and then their relationships with their children, and the explanatory power was 61%. Therefore, it is necessary to develop nursing intervention that can enhance self-efficacy and self-esteem which are the influential factors that lead the elderly’s self-realization positively. In particular, it needs to develop elderly-oriented customized programs such as economic stability, smooth relationship with their child, and leisure participation that can directly improve their self-efficacy and self-esteem. To this end, the policies suitable for the characteristics of local governments are required.
