The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of web-based English evaluation software. This is a preliminary step to develop web-based software to measure English text readability and reader`s index. It explores and collects web-based English test researches in a quantifiable data. This study looks into ten studies and their individual causes and effects figures. It further caliberates and averages out the effect sizes into cognitive, meta-cognitive and affective domains. It also investigates how the effect sizes are different for different school levels. Effects on cognitive area are the medium size, but the effects on reading and writing is distinctively salient. Effects on meta-cognitive and affective domain are medium size. Effects on elementary and middle school levels are medium, though middle schools shows bigger effect size than elementary schools.
