STEAM 교육의 이론적 고찰을 통한 교육과정 구성요소 분석

Nowadays, the advancement of science is achieved by integrating various academic areas such as mathematics, technology, engineering, art and so on. The integrating trend is appearing in education enterprise as a new direction. The purpose of the study was to analyze the characteristics of components of STEAM education through the review of STEAM education literature and develop the STEAM Curriculum Model for cultivating of creative and integrative thinking person. STEAM Curriculum is consisted as follows; Object, Integration type, Content, Method, Assessment and Subelement. The objectives of STEAM education were ‘Creative Problem Solving’, ‘Cooperation & Communication’, ‘Integrated Knowledge’ and ‘Caring & Emotion’. Integration type is composed of study connecting method and integrated element. Content consisted of knowledge domain, integrated concept, affective domain, latest research and career education. Teaching method was composed of learning structure, operating class, learning model, teaching learning process and type of activity. Assessment was classified into time, assessor and method, and added a product assessment. The result has defined the concept and theoretical framework of STEAM Curriclum. And it provide an implication for STEAM education in development and implementation by performing the analysis on STEAM factors.
