2007 개정 과학과 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 5, 6학년 교과 지도 실태 분석

An Analysis on Science Instruction of 5th & 6th Grade according to the 2007 Revised National Curriculum

This study investigates and analyzes the status of instruction of science for the 5th and 6th grade in the elementary school according to 2007 revised curriculum. The purpose of this study is to obtain the educational implications by investigating how much current teachers understand and apply the revised curriculum in school and analyzing the problems that teachers recognize. In terms of experiments presented in the textbook, as teachers had less teaching career, they had more experimental classes. Regardless of teaching career, because of the large amount of experiments, individual and group experiments were conducted with consideration of importance of experiments. They thought they lacked classes of science compared to planned classes of science. And it was shown that the level of learning content presented in textbooks was appropriate or a bit difficult and the amount of learning seemed a lot. The recognition and utilization of instructions of teachers were high. The 2007 revised science curriculum has similar amount of class hours compared to that in the 7th curriculum.
