This study is an overview from national to authorized textbook which have been developed by the 7th national curriculum. The 7th national curriculum has been changed as a form of renewal and there were three times(2007 & 2008, 2011) especially in elementary English curriculum. First, by the 7th national curriculum, one type national English textbook was used for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th grades for 40 minute class time per week from 2001 to 2010 school year in elementary school for 10 years. Second, by 2007 revised national curriculum made changes of whole contents and by 2008 revised one increased one more class per week. Based on the changed textbook system, from national to authorized textbook testing system. fourteen types of English textbooks were used for 3th, 4th graders and seven types for 5th, six types for 6th graders. The authorized twenty seven types of elementary English textbooks were tested and used for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th graders from 2011 to 2013 school year for three years. Furthermore, by 2009 & 2011 national curriculum, five types of 3rd～4th grade were used in 2014 school year. The cycle of the authorized textbooks administered to class was too short. This study need to find several implications to improve the textbook testing system.
