본 연구는 대학생의 도덕적 자아, 성격강점, 도덕적 고양과 이타적 행동과의 구조적 관계분석을 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 C지역에 소재한 4년제 대학교 재학생 647명을 대상으로 도덕적 자아 척도, 성격강점 척도, 도덕적 고양척도, 이타적 행동 검사를 이용한 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료처리는 AMOS 20.0을 이용한 구조방정식 모형 분석을 하였다.최종모형의 적합도는 CFI=.949, TLI=.933, RMSEA=.064 였으며, 주된 연구 결과로서는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 도덕적 자아와 성격강점은 이타적 행동에 모두 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 도덕적 자아와 성격강점 및 도덕적 고양이 이타적 행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대학생의 도덕적 자아와 성격강점은 도덕적 고양을 매개로 이타적 행동에 간접적인 영향을 나타내는 것으로 도덕적 자아와 성격강점은 이타적 행동에 이르는 경로에서 도덕적 고양이 부분매개의 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이들 변인들간의 구조적 관계에 관한 연구결과는 이타적 행동의 성격을 보다 명확히 밝혀줄 뿐만 아니라 대학생들의 도덕성을 함양하고 이타적 행동을 증진시키기 위한 보다 효과적이고 실질적인 교육지도 전략과 프로그램을 모색하는데 필요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
The purpose of this study was to identify the structural relationship among moral self, character strengths, moral elevation and altruistic behavior to analyze the direct or indirect effect among latent variables. The participants in this study were 647 college students in C local area. Four measurement instruments were used; moral self scale, character strengths scale, moral elevation scale, and altruistic behavior scale. The collected data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) using Amos 20.0. The fitness of the final model were CFI=.949, TLI=.933, RMSEA=.064. The results of this study were as follows: First, there was a significant positive correlation between moral self, character strengths and altruistic behavior. Second, moral self, character strengths, and moral elevation has an direct effect on altruistic behavior. Third, according to the structural equation modeling, the results showed that moral elevation mediated the effect of moral self, character strengths, altruistic behavior. The results of this study would be not only to help establish the theoretical basis on the essence and characteristics of altruistic behavior and morality, but also to develop the program and the more effective strategy of education to promote altruistic behavior.
