유아음악감상교육 연구동향 분석

Analysis of the research trend of early childhood music listening education through the examination of theses published in Korea

본 연구의 목적은 유아음악감상교육 연구의 현황과 실태를 조망하여 미래의 유아음악교육연구 활성화에 도움이 되는 기초자료를 제공하고자 국내에서 보고된 유아음악감상교육 관련 연구에 대한 동향을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구대상은 1998년부터 2017년까지 지난 20년간 유아음악감상교육을 연구주제로 발표된 석사 87편과 박사 5편의 총 92편 학위논문이고, 분석의 준거로 특정주제 연구동향 분석 관련 선행연구에 기초하여 연구대상, 연구주제, 연구방법, 연구효과 변인, 감상곡 유형을 선정하였다. 내용분석의 결과 유아음악감상교육 연구는 만5세아에 치우친 점, 통합교육으로서의 교수학습방법을 주제로 한 연구가 가장 많은 점, 양적연구방법이 주로 활용된 점과 효과변인으로 유아의 음악성발달이 많았음이 밝혀졌다. 그리고 연구에 활용된 대표적 감상곡 유형은 클래식 음악이었다. 이상의 내용은 유아음악감상교육연구의 활성화 방안으로서 첫째, 만3세, 4세, 5세로 고르게 분포된 연구대상의 선정, 둘째, 통합교육 교수학습방법 이외의 특정음악교수법의 적용이나 부모교육과의 연계 및 교사전문성 함양을 돕는 평가방안 등의 다양한 연구주제의 선택, 셋째, 심층적 분석이 가능한 질적연구방법의 도입과 다양한 장르의 음악곡이 유아감상교육연구에서 활용되어야 할 필요성을 제기한다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze research trend of the young children s music listening education through the examination of the theses published in Korea and to suggest tips for ways of research development as an academic field for the development of child s musicality in future. The 87 master s and five doctoral dissertations on the young children s music listening education published in Korea during the past two decades were examined according to the research subjects, themes, methods, most effectively concerned variables and the utilized music genre based on the literatural review on research trend. The results of this study are as follows: Total 92 theses and dissertation related to the young children s music listening education were published from 1998 to 2017 in the Korean graduate schools were utilized for contents analysis. First, 5-year-olds children were the most representative subjects in terms of age concerned. Second, the greatest number of research theme was classroom teaching method, and music listening integration within the artistic areas was the most popular teaching method. Third, quantitative research was the major research method contrary to zero qualitative research. Fourth, numbers of studies were dealt with musical development as the effective variable of music listening. Fifth, classical music was the mostly preferable genre utilized in the children s music listening education research. From these results, needs for the extension of future study in terms of the ages of research subjects, research themes, method and the selection of dependant variables, and utilizing music genres were suggested.
