역량기반 대학 교육과정 내용 모형 설계

A Study on the Contents Model Design for the Competency-based Curriculum of University

최근 대학의 교육과정은 역량기반 교육과정 설계 방향으로 패러다임이 전환되고 있다. 대학의 교육과정은 시대적인 변화와 사회적인 요구를 반영해야 한다는 관점과 일맥상통한다. 이러한 맥락에서, 대학 교육과정은 역량을 기반으로 개발, 편성 및 운영, 평가되어야 할 것이다. 역량기반으로 대학 교육과정을 구성한다는 것은 구체적으로 무엇을 의미하며, 실행 방법은 무엇이며, 달성 정도를 어떻게 평가해야 하는지 등의 질문들이 본 연구의 출발점이라 할 수 있다. 기본적으로 역량을 구성하고 있는 기본적인 내용과 전달 방법, 평가하기 위한 이론적 근거가 필요할 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 역량기반 대학 교육과정을 구성하기 위한 이론적 내용 모형을 설계하고자 하였다. 경기도에 소재한 H대학교 사례와 교육과정 개발 전문가, 학교교육과정 개발 전문가 및 교육과정 전문가 12인으로 구성된 델파이 조사 방법을 실시하였다. H대학교 4대 핵심역량과 교육목표 및 인재상에 근거하여 창의(Creativity), 소통(Communication), 실천(Caring)이라는 3C 역량군을 구성하였고, 이에 근거하여 16개의 하위요소를 추출하였다. 문제해결역량은 다양한 문제를 파악하여 이에 대한 대안을 제시할 수 있는 능력으로 자기개발 능력, 문제처리 능력, 논리적 사고와 창의적 사고로 구성 및 정의하였다. 상호이해를 목적으로 하는 의사소통역량은 언어이해 능력, 의사표현 능력, 토론 및 조정, 사회적 상호작용으로 구성하였다. 글로벌 역량은 외국어 구사능력, 다문화 이해, 세계시민의식과 글로벌 쟁점 이해로, 나눔배려역량은 공동체 가치 이해, 공감과 협력, 나눔과 봉사, 인성과 영성으로 구성하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 대학 별 역량 측정 도구 개발뿐만 아니라 역량 구조에 대한 위계와 체계를 이론적으로 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

Recently, the paradigm of the university curriculum is shifting toward the design of competency-based curriculum. The curriculum of the university is in line with the view that it should reflect the changes of the times and social demands. In this context, university curriculum should be developed, organized, operated and evaluated based on competency. The questions of what constitutes university curriculum on the basis of competency, what it means specifically, how to implement it, and how to assess the degree of achievement are the starting points of this research. Basically, it is necessary to have the basic contents that constitute the competence, the delivery method, and the theoretical rationale for evaluation. Therefore, this study aims to design the theoretical content model to construct competency-based university curriculum. Researcher conducted the Delphi survey method which consisted of curriculum development specialist, school curriculum development expert and curriculum expert and H university case in Gyeonggi province. Based on the four core competencies, educational goals, and talents of H university, researcher constructed 3C competencies cluster: Creativity, Communication, and Caring. And then, researcher extracted 16 sub-elements based on competency cluster. Problem solving competencies are composed of self development ability, problem handling ability, logical thinking and creative thinking, with the ability to identify various problems and present alternatives. Communication skills for mutual understanding include language comprehension, ability to express ideas, discussion and coordination. Global competencies consist of foreign language proficiency, understanding of multiculturalism, understanding of global citizenship and global issues. Sharing competencies in understanding community value, empathy and cooperation, sharing and service, personality and spirituality. The results of this study are meaningful not only in terms of the development of competency measurement tools but also the hierarchy and system of competence structure theoretically.
