중도입국청소년을 위한 한국어 교재분석

A Study on the Analysis of Korean Textbooks for Immigrant Youths in Korea -Focusing on Rainbow School Textbooks-

한국은 급속하게 다문화 사회로 진입하고 있으며, 이와 동시에 생긴 많은 갈등과 문제를 대비하기 위하여 정부와 각 분야 학자들이 다문화 및 다문화 구성원들을 대상으로 많은 연구를 진행하고 있다. 90년대 후반부터 지금까지, 외국인 이주민 집단 중 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 외국인 근로자, 결혼이민자와 유학생, 다문화 자정 자녀 등이 연구 대상자로 주를 이어왔다. 이주민들이 한국에서 생활하면서 가장 먼저 직면하게 된 것은 바로 의사소통 문제이다. 한국어 교육 및 한국어 교재 개발 연구에 있어서 유학생, 외국인 근로자, 결혼이민자, 다문화 자녀를 대상으로 하는 연구는 이미 활성화되어 있으나, 중도입국 청소년에 관련 연구는 다른 외국인 집단과 비교할 때 아직은 매우 부족한 실정이다. 레인보우 스쿨은 이주 배경 청소년 전문 교육 기관으로서 개발된 차별화된 교재가 아직 없으므로 이 연구는 레인보우스쿨 교육 과정을 중심으로 사용 중인 교재를 분석하여 중도입국 청소년 전용 차별화된 교재 개발을 위한 제안을 하고자 한다.

South Korea is rapidly entering a multicultural society. And at the same time, the government and scholars are conducting numerous researches to prepare for the many conflicts and problems that have arisen at the same time. Since the late 1990s to now, the main participants of study were foreign workers, marriage migrants, international students and children from multicultural families. There were many kind of researches on the textbook highlight for the international students, foreign workers, marriage migrants and children from multicultural families. The first problem that immigrants face in Korea is the problem of language communication. And a few of these researches have been conducted on immigrant youths. The Rainbow school is a professional education institution for immigrant youths. But there are no specific teaching materials focusing on immigrant youths. Therefore the purpose of this study was to analyze the Korean textbooks of The Rainbow School and to propose new directions for development of Korean language curriculum education textbooks for The Rainbow School.
