A Study on the Elementary School Parents’ Satisfaction with School Facilities - Focus on Local Administrative Complex City A

본 연구는 초등학교 학부모를 대상으로 학교시설에 대한 만족도를 조사하고, 이를 토대로 미래교육을 위한 초등학교의 학교시설에 대한 시사점을 모색하고자 하는 것이다. 연구의 내용은 첫째, 학부모들의 현재 학교시설에 대한 만족도 수준, 둘째, 학교의 특성 변인에 따른 학부모 만족도 차이이다. 연구 방법은 A시의 초등학교 35개교에 자녀가 5, 6학년으로 재학 중인 학부모를 대상으로 2017년 6월 26일부터 7월 7일까지 학교시설에 대한 만족도 조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 390명의 자료 중 양적자료는 SPSS 통계패키지를 이용하여 처리하였으며, 자유기술문항은 삼각검증법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 학부모들의 학교 시설 만족도는 중간 수준이었다. 둘째, 학교의 특성에 따라 학부모의 만족도에는 차이가 있었다. 연구 결과를 토대로 미래 초등학교의 시설 방향에 대한 시사점을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the satisfaction of elementary school parents about school facilities and to find implications for elementary schools for future education. The contents of the study are as follows: First, the level of satisfaction of the parents at current school facilities and second, the difference of the parents satisfaction according to the characteristics of the school. The survey was conducted on the parents of 35 elementary schools in A city, whose children were in grades 5 and 6. The study period was from June 26 to July 7, 2017. Of the collected data, 390 responses were processed using the SPSS statistical package, and free response items were analyzed by triangulation. The results of the study are as follows: First, parents satisfaction with school facilities was moderate. Second, there was a difference in parents satisfaction according to the characteristics of the school. Based on the results of the study, the implications for the future direction of the elementary school facilities were suggested.
