Becoming a Member of a Music Band for Parents of Urban-to-Rural Migrants

이 연구는 행복면 귀농귀촌학부모들의 음악밴드동호활동을 통해 드러나는 삶의 과정을 이해하는데 목적이 있으며, 이를 위해 참여관찰과 심층면담을 진행하였다. 연구참여자로는 행복면의 귀농귀촌학부모 다섯 명과 지도강사 한 명, 주제보자 한 명을 선정하였다. 연구자는 이를 통해 귀농귀촌학부모들이 행복면으로 정착해가는 과정과 그들이 음악밴드동호활동을 구성하는 일상리듬을 관찰하였다. 그리고 음악밴드동호회원의 멤버십이 갖는 의미를 이해하고자 연구자의 현장노트와 관찰일지 및 참여자의 면담 자료에 관한 질적 분석을 실시하였다. 행복면 귀농귀촌학부모들이 준거집단으로 만들어가는 과정에는 이주와 자녀교육, 개인의 열망 등이 서로 관계를 맺으며 복잡한 총체를 이루며, 그들은 ‘되어가기(becoming)’라는 성찰적 삶의 형태를 선택하고 실천해가고 있다. 이러한 이해를 바탕으로 젊은 연령층의 귀농귀촌이 증가하고 있는 농촌의 여가문화 변화 추이와 더불어 귀농귀촌학부모들의 정착을 위한 존재 실천의 과정을 들여다 볼 수 있는 활발한 학문적 접근 노력이 필요함을 제안한다.

In this study, we conducted participant observation and in-depth interviews to understand the process of life through the music band activities of the parents of the village of Haeng-bok. The study participants consisted of five parents of urban-to-rural migrants, one instructor, and one local citizen who was an informant. To understand the meaning of members for a music band, researcher s field notes, observation records, and interview data were analyzed by participants. These are the process of their urban-to-rural migration for village of Haeng-bok and the daily rhythms that make up their music band activities, and they also analyzed the meaning of the membership of their music band. The process of their creation as a conformable group has a complex shell, in which emigration, children s education, and personal enthusiasm are linked together, and they choose and practice a form of “becoming” of reflective life. Based on this understanding, it is suggested that an active academic approach should be made to look into the process of practicing the existence for the resettlement of parents of urban-to-rural migrants.
