초등학생의 사회정서역량 함양을 위한 국어과 통합 수업모형 개발

Development of an integrated instructional model of Korean language for cultivating Social and Emotional Competences of elementary school students

국어과는 언어를 이용해 자신의 감정과 생각을 표현하고, 원만한 대인관계를 형성하는 것을 다루고 있어, 사회정서학습과의 교과통합 가능성이 높은 과목이다. 본 연구의 목적은 초등학생의 사회정서 역량 함양을 위한 국어과 통합 수업모형을 개발하는 것이다. 연구절차는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회정 서학습 전략과 프로그램을 검토한다. 둘째, 국어과 수업의 전략과 모형을 검토한다. 셋째, 1차 수업 모형을 개발한다. 넷째, 내적 타당화를 위해 전문가검토 및 수정․보완한다. 다섯째, 외적 타당화를 위해 현장적용 및 수정․보완한다. 여섯째, 수정된 수업모형을 최종 완성한다. 연구결과, 다섯 단계의 수업모형과 단계에 따른 구체적인 활동 전략이 개발되었다. 개발된 수업모형의 단계는 ‘마음으로 작품만나기-마음으로 작품나누기-인물의 삶 가꾸기-나의 삶 가꾸기-마음 성장하기’이며, 각 단계를 통해서 사회정서역량의 5가지 영역(자기인식, 자기관리, 사회적 인식, 관계관리, 책임있는 의사결정)을 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 연구는 사회정서학습이 학교에서 지속적이고 안정적으로 실행되기 위해 필요한 방안에 대한 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

Korean language education deals with the expression of their feelings and thoughts and the formation of friendly interpersonal relationships by using language, so it is more likely to integrate with Social and Emotional Learning. The purpose of this study is to develop of an integrated instructional model of Korean language for cultivating Social and Emotional Competence of Elementary students. The research process is as follows. First, Social and Emotional strategies and programs are examined. Second, strategies and programs of Korean language education are examined. Third, the first instructional model are created. Forth, the expert review is executed, and the model are modified for external validation. Fifth, the instructional model is applied to grade 6 students and revised by the feedback from students and teachers for internal validation. Sixth, the revised model is finally completed. As a result of the study, the five stages of the model and specific action strategies based on the stages is developed. The stages of developed instructional model are ‘Reading literature with heart-Sharing literature with heart-Growing Character’s life-Growing my life-Mind growth’, and five components of social and emotional competence(self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision-making) can be improved through each stage. This study will provide necessary implications for social and emotional learning to be implemented in school continuously and stably.
