의사소통능력과 진로준비행동이 예비교사의 역량에 미치는 영향: 교사효능감과 학교현장실습만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로

The Effects of Communication Skills and Career Preparation Behavior on Pre-service Teachers’ Competency: the Mediating Effects of Teacher Efficacy and Teacher Practicum Satisfaction

본 연구는 예비교사의 역량을 효과적으로 증진시키기 위한 방안을 마련하기 위해 중등교원양성과정 중에 있는 예비교사의 의사소통능력, 교사효능감, 진로준비행동, 학교현장실습만족도가 예비교사의 역량에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 A대학에서 학교현장실습을 경험하는 예비교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하고, 수집된 81명의 예비교사역량과 의사소통능력, 교사효능 감, 진로준비행동, 학교현장실습만족도와의 관계를 확인하기 위해 상관관계 분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 예비교사의 역량은 학교현장실습을 기점으로 유의하게 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비교사의 역량에 교사효능감과 학교현장실습 만족도가 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 교사효능감은 의사소통능력과 예비교사역량 간의 관계를 부분매개하고 있고, 마지막으로, 학교현장실습 만족도는 진로준비행동과 예비교사역량 간의 관계를 부분매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이에 본 연구는 교원양성과정의 목표인 예비교사의 역량을 증진시키기 위해서는 학교현장실습 이전의 교육과정에서 의사소통능력, 교사효능감, 진로준 비행동을 향상시킬 수 있는 체제적인 지원과 더불어 학교현장실습환경에 대한 예비교사의 만족도를 높일 수 있는 노력이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

This study aims to investigate the effects of pre-service teachers communication skill, teacher efficacy, career preparation behavior, and teacher practicum satisfaction on the pre-service teachers’ competency in order to design strategies for improving their competency. For this purpose, we surveyed 81 pre-service teachers who had experience in teacher practicum at A university in Seoul. The results of the study are as follows: First, pre-service teachers’ competency showed significant improvement from pre-teaching practicum to post-teaching practicum. Second, teacher efficacy and teacher practicum satisfaction have positive impact on pre-service teachers competency. Third, teacher efficacy partially mediates the relationship between communication ability and pre-service teachers’ competency. Finally, it was confirmed that teacher practicum program satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between career preparation behavior and pre-service teachers’ competency. Based on the results, the study suggests that a systematic support is needed to improve communication skills, teacher efficacy, and career preparation behaviors in the secondary teacher education program in order to enhance the pre-service teachers competency, which is the goal of the program. Also, it is recommended that efforts should be made to increase the teacher practicum program satisfaction.
