안재홍의 성인교육 활동과 사상 탐색

Study on Adult Education Activities and Thoughts of Ahn Jae Hong

본 연구의 목적은 일제 강점기 국내 항일민족운동을 이끌고 해방 후 통일민족국가수립에 힘쓴 민족지도자 안재홍의 성인교육 활동과 사상을 탐색하는 것이었다. 연구문제는 일제강점기와 해방공간에 걸친 안재홍의 분야별 성인교육 활동 성과를 분석하고 시대 상황에 따라 변화 발전한 그의 성인교육 사상의 추이로 설정했다. 연구방법으로 문헌고찰 중심의 역사적 사료 분석을 통한 질적 연구 방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 첫째, 안재홍의 교육기관을 통한 활동, 사회단체를 통한 성인교육 활동, 다양한 주제의 강연을 통한 민중계몽 활동 성과를 확인했다. 둘째, 안재홍의 성인 교육 사상의 특성에 관해 조명했다. 그는 민중지향의식을 견지하며 민족의식 고취에 힘썼으며 현실문제 개선을 위해 쓰임새 교육을 강조하고 실사구시를 실천했다. 또한 성인교육지도자로서 변혁적 리더십을 발휘, 추종자들에게 영향력을 끼쳤다. 안재홍의 사상은 일제강점기 제국주의를 비판하며 개방적·복합적 사고에 기반을 둔 민세주의에서 해방 후 신국가건설 시기에 지력평등의 교육을 강조하는 신민족주의로 구체화되었다. 또 이를 심화하여 모두가 함께 말하고 모두가 함께 잘 사는 교육을 강조하는 다사리주의로 변화 발전했다.

The purpose of this study is to explore adult education activities and thoughts of the Korean national leader Ahn Jae Hong who led the anti-Japanese movement during the Japanese Colonial Rule and devoted himself to establishing a unified nation-state after the emancipation. The research subjects were analyzing the achievement of adult education activities of Ahn Jae Hong by field throughout the Japanese colonial period and liberation space grasping the trend of his adult educational thought which changed and developed according to the state of times. For this purpose, qualitative research method based on historical records focused on literature review was used. To summarize the results of this study, First, it was confirmed that Ahn Jae Hong s adult education activities were broadly through educational institutions and various lectures as adult education activities through social organizations. Second, it illuminated the characteristics of Ahn Jae Hong s adult education ideas. He held on to people-oriented consciousness, strived to raise the national consciousness, emphasized the use of education to improve the real problem and adhered to empirical tradition. Also, he exercised his influence on his followers by demonstrating transformational leadership as an adult education leader. Ahn Jae Hong s idea was embodied as a new nationalism emphasizing the education of intellectual equality during the construction period of new country after liberation from the idea of Minse based on his open and complex thinking criticizing imperialism during the Japanese occupation. In addition, it changed and developed into ‘Dasari’ spirit that emphasized education in which everyone speaks together and lives well together by deepening it.
